Some of my best shopping memories come from Mary’s Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children in Westbourne Grove, merely thanks to the lovely people and cosy environment and greatly thanks to the amazing bargains, exclusive to these events.
Today is the rare occassion that one of these invitation-only events is open to the public. 48 hours before the royal wedding, the theme can’t be but bridal as this year, Save the Children week coincides with Royal wedding week and the shop on 177, Westbourne Grove, will be turning to a pop up bridal boutique from today until the 30th April.
Most excitingly, attenders will be able to shop Matthew Williamson, Jasper Conran, Jenny Packham and Stewart Parvin, dress maker to the Queen, in reduced prices. The above designers have donated bridal gowns and accessories under their labels, to the cause of supporting the charity organisation that benefits children in need. “We have some amazing designer wedding dresses for a snippet of what you would pay for them in the shops, wedding planning, makeup and stylist advice, as well as something for the men”, says Erica Charles, Head of PR.
No doubt, this is your chance to own a stunning designer gown and pay only a fraction of the price.
Doors open at 9.30am on Wed 27 April 2011, so if you don’t want to be disappointed then make sure you’re first in the queue.
