“It’s the new generation who educates us in terms on fashion sustainability”, Mary Portas had once told me during an interview at the opening of her third Living and Giving Shop. That’s exactly the case with the new exclusive “Pure Threads” collection where a new-comer in fashion design introduces an established designer to a whole new aspect of creating fashion. Italian designer Alberta Ferretti joined forces with British style icon, actress Emma Watson, to launch an eco-friendly capsule Spring/Summer collection. Emma, having already collaborated with People Tree for ecological clothing lines during the past 5 years, persuaded Ferretti to create her first even eco-collection, made of natural fabrics. The result is a range consisting of 5 easy-to-wear pieces who look and feel like you want to rush to the fields. The three dresses, shorts and blouse of the collection, are very much reminiscent of the ’70s as lines are fluid, the mood is sooo summery and the lace embellishments that are omnipresent give a romantic feel purity and carefreeness. What I would pick would be these playful denim shorts with the lace detail.
