Hairstylist and fashion insider Argiris Raftopoulos directed this fashion editorial which shows how we can glam up a plain clubwear outfit by adding one key piece and applying the correct makeup.
A black close-fitted crop top with sheer panels was matched with a leather mini skirt in a figure-hugging, openly sexy outfit. No matter how common that may sound, the way the outfit is styled can add glam and sophistication in what would otherwise be a predictable 90s clubwear look from the Spice Girls era -which I remember very well, apparently.
A mauve and lilac, long-sleeved, feathered jacket featuring different shades of purple in an interesting degrade effect was thrown over our model’s shoulders to add majestic volume, rich color and dashing character.
The hair was styled into a sleek, elegant updo while the makeup was done using warm earth colors for the eyes, nude lips and very little, natural brown blush to define the cheekbones.
And that, my friends, is how the sartorial message changed; from cheeky, to irresistible.
