A unique musical concert will take place at Strovolos Municipal Theatre on the 20th of December 2011, at 20:30, with the participation of award-winning international composer Roman Kariolou and world renowned soprano Katerina Mina.
The ensemble, which consists of Piano, Soprano Voice and String Quartet, will be performing some of the most beautiful Film Music composed by Ennio Morricone (Once upon a time in the West), Max Steiner (Gone with the Wind) and Roman Kariolou (The Shadows), as well as music from multi award-winning films like ‘Cinema Paradiso’, ‘The Mission’, ‘The Ecstasy of Gold’, ‘Once upon a time in America’, ‘A fistful of Dollars’, and ‘Dr Zhivago’. During the concert, pictures from scenes of the movies will be projected, to reflect the mood and atmosphere of the movie.
Roman Kariolou, who is one of the most promising and successful film music composers of his generation, has arranged the music of the whole programme and is the artistic director of the project.
