Within the past few years, we have seen sculptural heels in a wide range of unusual or even shocking shapes and figures in the fashion market, but I believe these are the first dog-shaped heels in the whole world. Italian shoemaker Alain Quilici takes sculptural heels one step further for the sake of Georgian born, London based fashion designer David Koma.
Koma is known for exploring masterful, heavy, innovative techniques to create unique embellishments for his womenswear collections each season. His fascination with the female form has resulted in a consistent body conscious theme, creating strong, architectural shapes, evoking empowerment to the wearer -obviously, that applies not only to the clothes, but also the shoes that he incorporates to the collections.
