The British Fashion Council, Stephen Jones OBE and Wedgewood celebrated Headonism Spring Summer 2015 and the launch of Project Tea Cosy with a glamorous reception on the first day of London Fashion Week last Friday.

Headonism, a Stephen Jones curated initiative and exhibition sponsored by Wedgewood and the British Fashion Council, invited milliners Awon Golding, Emma Yeo, Keely Hunter and Lizzie McQuade to showcase their SS15 collections and also create a contemporary and unique tea cosy for a Wedgewood teapot.

Here is what we saw and liked and who we met…

Bold colours, beading, feathers and geometric weaving patterns were inspired by the costuming and artefacts of the Naga tribes of North-East India.

Each headpiece in the collection explores space, both negative and positive. The patterns playfully extend beyond the headpieces onto the wearer, thanks to intricate cut out lattice details casting delicate, lace-like shadows.

This utterly elaborate headpiece, part of Stephen Jones’ Hot House SS15 collection, absolutely deserved its own close-up.
